Explore the park’s newest trail, opened in 2017, with the help of one of our staff naturalists. Trek to Exclamation Point, traverse the ridgetop forest, pass through the highest point in the park, and conclude your journey at the top of Hickory Nut Falls. Plus, learn about the flora and fauna of this trail along the way. Please note, this hike is considered moderate to strenuous.

This multiple International Bluegrass Music Award-winning band (Grammy-nominated as well!), will bring you to your feet with their red-hot playing and beautiful harmonies. Join the fun at the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge for our Pollinator Week Celebration. You will find informational tables on natives, butterflies, beekeeping, beneficial insects and much more. Children will have fun with games, dressing up as a beekeeper, story time, visits from puppets, and create a butterfly art project to take home. There will also be plant and merchandise sales. Dress up as your favorite pollinator just for fun! Due to limited parking at the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, please park at the Welcome Center at Morse Park.
